Is it really free?
Yes. During the Founding Church Beta, create an account and use the Mac desktop app at no charge. That includes local-first editing, unlimited manual exports, and up to 3 AI-assisted shorts per long video with a connected ChatGPT or Claude account.
Why do I need an account?
Accounts power activation, downloads, workspace setup, support, product telemetry, and onboarding email. Promotional marketing email is optional and separate.
Will VelaClip always be free?
No permanent free promise is made for every future capability. The beta is free while we learn with churches. Optional paid services may launch after beta; Free-tier local editing packaging may continue as a distinct offering when billing returns.
What happens after beta?
We will introduce optional services based on what beta churches need most. Qualifying beta participants will be eligible for founder pricing. You will not be charged during beta.
What data do you collect?
Account, workspace, acquisition attribution, optional marketing consent, and product usage telemetry tied to your user and workspace. We do not collect sermon media or transcript content through website analytics.
Do sermons leave my computer?
VelaClip is local-first. Core editing and rendering can run on your Mac. Optional connected AI features are identified before use.
